DAF announced a problem with the CF65/75/85/XF105 affecting a total of 743 vehicles.
It has been identified that during production, on a number of vehicles, the leaf spring of the front axle has been fitted the wrong way round. In the event that the spring should break, there would be a reduction of the positional control of the front axle, which is afforded by the second leaf eye wrap. Vehicles built from 3/1/2008 to 6/30/2008 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will be checked for correct orientation of the front springs, which will be corrected if found not to be in compliance.
