KIA SPORTAGE Recall

Handbrake may fail

KIA SPORTAGE recall Aug 2005

KIA announced a problem with the SPORTAGE affecting a total of 811 vehicles.

The parking brake may fail to engage or release without warning, due to an incorrectly manufactured parking brake lever locking pawl. Vehicles built from 03/29/2005 to 05/08/2003 are at risk.

Recalled vehicles will have the parking brake lever assembly replaced with a quality assured item.
