PEUGEOT 307 SW Estate Recall

Weld points on rear side chassis members may have not been made correctly

PEUGEOT 307 SW Estate recall May 2004PEUGEOT announced a problem with the 307 SW Estate affecting a total of 303 vehicles.

The possibility exists that the weld points on the chassis rear side members may not have been made correctly. With the result that, in the case of an impact, the vehicle would not comply with the energy absorption criteria. Vehicles built from 02/09/2004 to 02/12/2004 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled for checking of the subject welds. If it is found that the welds are not to specification, Product Service should be contacted.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest PEUGEOT dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
