SCANIA TRUCK announced a problem with the 4 Series affecting a total of 21 vehicles.
The steel ball in ports 1 and 2 of the air brake system interlock valve may come loose and cause the parking brake to self apply. Vehicles built from 01/01/1999 to 12/31/2001 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and fit a modified interlock valve.
