BMW X5 Recall |
Airbag may deploy inadvertently |
BMW announced a problem with the X5 affecting a total of 6,224 vehicles.
The front air bags may trigger unnecessarily and the possibility of occupant injury cannot be excluded. Vehicles built from 3/1/2001 to 2/28/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to recode the air bag control unit.

who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
