NISSAN announced a problem with the Z50 Murano affecting a total of 1,684 vehicles.
In the event of a front tyre travelling over a sharp object, the object could be propelled towards the rear of the vehicle and possibly damage the front edge of the fuel tank. Vehicles built from 04/01/2002 to 11/30/2005 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have a protective shield fitted to the fuel tank vulnerable area.
Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:
