THE injector oil seal on the cylinder head cover may become detached

MAZDA MAZDA 6, 6 WAGON, MPV ( LW) recall Sep 2004

MAZDA announced a problem with the MAZDA 6, 6 WAGON, MPV ( LW) affecting a total of 1,517 vehicles.

The injector oil seal on the cylinder head cover may detach leading to heavy oil consumption, and eventually, if the oil pressure warning light is ignored, engine seizure. Vehicles built from 08/05/2003 to 11/07/2003 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles, and replace the cylinder head cover with a modified one.
