VW announced a problem with the Transporter 5 affecting a total of 4,524 vehicles.
The back-rest of the 2nd seat row may not completely latch in. In an accident this could increase the risk of injury, because the seat belts are attached to the back-rest. Vehicles built from 1/12/2003 to 31/5/2006 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the bowden cable of the double seat bench.
