ALFA ROMEO 156 Recall

brake pipe may chafe on pas pipe mounting bracket

ALFA ROMEO 156 recall Jan 2004ALFA ROMEO announced a problem with the 156 affecting a total of 29 vehicles.

The fitting of an incorrect connector between the brake pipe and the master cylinder may cause the brake pipe to chafe on a power steering pipe support bracket. In the worst case this could result in a fluid leak and a reduction in braking efficiency. Vehicles built from 03/01/2003 to 03/31/2003 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Replace the connector, brake pipe and seals.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

ZAR93200000232515 to ZAR93200001323954
