TOYOTA Lexus RX400h Recall

Vehicle may loose power

TOYOTA announced a problem with the Lexus RX400h affecting a total of 3,997 vehicles.

The Intelligent Power Module within the inverter system may fail. This will result in various warning lamps being illuminated. In most cases this will result in the vehicle entering the fail-safe mode, resulting in limited power. In limited instances the fuse on the power supply circuit could blow resulting in the hybrid system stopping. Vehicles built from 24/9/2004 to 9/8/2006 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Replacement of the Intelligent Power Module (IPM) in the inverter assembly.
