AUDI announced a problem with the A4 affecting a total of 14 vehicles.
Size 288mm x 15mm solid front brake discs may have been fitted instead of 288mm x 25mm ventilated discs. Because of the extra clearance required for the ventilated diisc a brake pad could fall out of the caliper as the pads wear down. Vehicles built from 11/01/1994 to 12/31/1994 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Examine the front brake discs on all potentially affected vehicles and rectify where found necessary.
