Suspension springs may break

CITROEN BERLINGO AND BERLINGO ELECTRIC recall Jul 2005CITROEN announced a problem with the BERLINGO AND BERLINGO ELECTRIC affecting a total of 50,357 vehicles.

In the exceptional event of a spring breaking there could be a risk of the spring making contact with the vehicle tyre. Vehicles built from 06/01/1999 to 09/30/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit a suspension cup to each side of the front suspension.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

VF700000094000175 to VF700000094064754
VF700000065335197 to VF700000065895578

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest CITROEN dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
