TOYOTA announced a problem with the Land Cruiser 90 ( Colorada) affecting a total of 7,606 vehicles.
Due to insufficient strength of the rear axle drive shaft flange, a fracture might develop under certain driving conditions. In the worst case, the flange may become detached causing the vehicle to become immobilised. Vehicles built from 04/17/1996 to 01/06/1999 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the right and left hand rear axle drive shafts replaced.
Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:
JT111VJ9500001022 to JT111VJ9500053522 JT111GJ9000001019 to JT111GJ9000023893 JT111GJ9500001033 to JT111GJ9500117583
