PEUGEOT 407 Recall

OIL may leak

PEUGEOT 407 recall Feb 2008PEUGEOT announced a problem with the 407 affecting a total of 1,140 vehicles.

A deterioration of the brake assistance may occur because it is possible for the brake servo valve to leak oil which can damage the membrane of the brake servo. Vehicles built from 4/26/2005 to 3/7/2007 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to change the valve and the vacuum circuit pipe connecting the vacuum pump to the brake servo.
