FIAT announced a problem with the New Ducato affecting a total of 19 vehicles.
Water may enter the ABS (antilock brake) control unit through a harness connector. This will cause the ABS control unit to malfunction and the fault warning lamp to illuminate. Vehicles built from 05/01/2002 to 04/30/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit a new ABS wiring harness which has watertight connectors.
