RENAULT announced a problem with the Laguna affecting a total of 9,959 vehicles.
There is a possibility that the drivers seat belt pretensioner cable may fail through fatigue and therefore not restrain the driver correctly during a collision. Vehicles built from 1/1/2007 to 8/24/2009 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the pretensioner with one that is redesigned.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest RENAULT dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
