MAZDA MAZDA 6 Recall

Engine stalls whilst driving

MAZDA MAZDA 6 recall Feb 2003MAZDA announced a problem with the MAZDA 6 affecting a total of 2,173 vehicles.

A surging noise from the air conditioner clutch may be interpreted as a fuel pressure leak by the engine management sensors. This will activate the fail safe system and shut the engine down. Vehicles built from 06/03/2002 to 11/28/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Install a short cord (with condensor) in the air-conditioner magnetic clutch wiring harness.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest MAZDA dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
