JEEP CHEROKEE and GRAND CHEROKEE Recall

Front brake rotors (discs) may fail.

JEEP CHEROKEE and  GRAND CHEROKEE recall Aug 2002JEEP announced a problem with the CHEROKEE and GRAND CHEROKEE affecting a total of 44,314 vehicles.

There is a possibility that corrosion may cause the front brake rotors (Discs) to separate from the centre hub section. Vehicle may pull to one side when braking. Also braking efficiency will be reduced. Vehicles built from 01/01/1990 to 12/31/1999 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles for inspection and if necessary replacement of both front brake rotors with new version. ( Note. Some vehicles will already have the new version fitted)
