MERCEDES BENZ Actros Recall

Fire may occur

MERCEDES BENZ announced a problem with the Actros affecting a total of 129 vehicles.

The oil dipstick guide tube on these vehicles is used for possible oil extraction. It has been found under certain circumstances there is a risk of fire due to engine oil escaping via the oil dip stick guide. Vehicles built from 1/1/2008 to 31/12/2010 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Retrofit an optimised stop plug for the oil dipstick guide tube.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:
