FIAT announced a problem with the NEW ULYSSE (WITH AIR CON) affecting a total of 3,047 vehicles.
The air conditioning condenser drainpipe may in some instances become blocked, with the possibility that the condensate may leak into the passenger compartment, and the air bag central control unit. This contamination may cause the air bag warning light to illuminate, and in some cases; cause inadvertent activation of the air bag. Vehicles built from 01/01/2002 to 07/31/2004 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled at which time the condensate drainpipe will be refitted; and re-profiled to remove any restriction.
