PEUGEOT announced a problem with the 308 affecting a total of 385 vehicles.
It has been identified that the shield which protects the diesel fuel filter, in the event of an impact, may be incorrectly positioned. This can result in the possibility that the impact shield is in too close a proximity to the positive terminal of the alternator. Vehicles built from 5/2/2008 to 11/21/2008 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the position of the impact shield checked. Additionally, the component will be fitted with an insulator.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest PEUGEOT dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
