AUDI announced a problem with the Q5 affecting a total of 2,331 vehicles.
It is possible, in the event of an accident where the airbags are deployed, for the A pillar trim to loosen. It is then possible for the trim to move into the passenger compartment which would increase the risk of injury to the front passengers. Vehicles built from 12/1/2008 to 5/31/2009 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the centre retaining clip on each of the A pillar trims.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest AUDI dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
