In low ambient temperature hard brake pedal may occur
FORD announced a problem with the FOCUS, C-MAX, S-MAX AND GALAXY affecting a total of 17,972 vehicles.
Hard brake pedal may occur in low ambient temperatures which is caused by a non return valve in the vacuum pump sticking. Vehicles built from 11/2/2005 to 12/30/2006 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to fit a revised non return valve to the brake vacuum pump.
