BMW 5 Series Recall |
Possibility of inability to engage gear or declutch |
BMW announced a problem with the 5 Series affecting a total of 2,652 vehicles.
Possibility that the pin operating the master cylinder may have been welded incorrectly. Resulting in the inability (on failure) to de-clutch or engage a gear. Vehicles built from 06/25/2001 to 07/31/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall likely to be affected vehicles, inspect the subject weld, and replace the clutch pedal if the weld is found to be faulty. |
