SUZUKI announced a problem with the Jimny & Grand Vitara affecting a total of 5,424 vehicles.
Steering assistance may be lost because the the power steering tensioner pulley material is not to specification. The pulley may fail and cause a loss of drive to the hydraulic pump.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affect to inspect and where necessary replace the power steering tensioner pulley.
