Fifth wheel mounting plate may detach |
SCANIA TRUCK announced a problem with the Various Trucks affecting a total of 259 vehicles.
The fifth wheel mounting plate may become loose or in the worst case fall off as a result of the mounting bolts being inadequate. Vehicles built from 2/22/2009 to 6/8/2010 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the fifth wheel mounting plate screws with longer, higher strength screws, spacing sleeves and lock nuts.
