FORD Focus and Focus Wagon (1.6L diesel and 1.8/2 L Petrol) Recall
Risk of fire
FORD announced a problem with the Focus and Focus Wagon (1.6L diesel and 1.8/2 L Petrol) affecting a total of 4,600 vehicles.
Due to high road salt usage in winter, the engine cooling fan module may suffer from corrosion and may overheat and ignite. Vehicles built from 1/1/2006 to 5/31/2006 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles to modify wiring loom and to fit water shield to module.
